Four Virtues Signet Ring

The Stoics believed in Four Virtues: Justice. Temperance. Wisdom. Courage.
Compared to these things, everything else is cheap, if not worthless. Every situation, every moment is an opportunity to exemplify these forms of human excellence. There is no challenge, no problem so big that it does not call for courage, moderation, justice or wisdom.
To keep these virtues in mind, we are extremely excited to introduce the Four Virtues Ring. This design, custom to Daily Stoic, was hand-sketched by an artist in Brooklyn, NY, Lewis Williams. The Sterling Silver rings are handmade by the same artist who drew the design.
The front of the ring features a custom-designed seal with four elements representing the Four Virtues: a lion (Courage), a jug of wine being poured out (Temperance), a set of scales (Justice), and an owl (Wisdom). We hand engraved "ACTA NON VERBA" on the inside, which translates to "Actions, not words."
Like the Cardinal directions, the four main points on the compass—north, south, east, west—the four virtues are a kind of compass. A guide to what to do, who to be, how to behave, how to respond in every situation—with:
Courage, bravery, fortitude, honor, sacrifice...
Temperance, self-control, moderation, composure, balance...
Justice, fairness, service, fellowship, goodness, kindness...
Wisdom, knowledge, education, truth, self-reflection, serenity...
This creation was made to last for generations. Pass down these Stoic virtues for years to come.
Each ring is shipped in a velvet ring box, with an outer embossed box showing the four essential symbols. It’s a powerful gift to anyone who needs the message.
