A 7ā tall, hand-sculpted pewter portrait bust of Seneca the Younger. Individually hand-numbered, patinated and waxed with an aged verdigris finish. Mounted on a 3āx3āx2.5ā cherry wood base with an espresso stain. Comes wrapped in in an emerald-green velour pouch with an included hand-numbered and signed certificate of authenticity.
This bust of Seneca the Younger was inspired by the Double Herm of Socrates and Seneca. Dating to the third century CE, this is one of the only accurate depictions of Seneca that survives. Seneca, a famed writer, dramatist, politician and advisor, is one of the three key figures in the development of Stoicism. Designed exclusively for readers of the Daily Stoic by ES Schubert Sculpture Studios, this bust was made to be passed down and to one day serve as an antique of its own.

E. Spencer Schubert has been sculpting the human figure for more thanĀ two decades. He has a degree in Sculpture from the University of Kansas and works out of his studio in Kansas City, Missouri. His work can be found in public and private collections across the United States.
